About me and my therapy practice

I aim to provide a non-judgemental, confidential, safe and welcoming space for clients to explore what's going on for them. Sometimes having a person outside of your situation, to provide space for you, can be helpful in untangling current or past experiences. My passion is working in an integrative way to think about where you are, what has got you here and to allow you to explore where you want to go. No client's journey is the same so, collaborating with you, I use a variety of counselling modalities to best meet your needs. I believe that you have the resources you need and I will walk alongside you to access those internal resources.

Practice description

I have many years of experience in working alongside people in the community and this led me to train as a professional counsellor. I am registered with the BACP and have reached the required hours (450+) to apply for accreditation. I currently lead a team of counsellors in a community organisation which gives me experience in working with a wide range of clients.

I have attended many CPD sessions, including the following:

Complex Trauma and Childhood Sexual Abuse, Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Trauma Summit, PTSD, using CBT to treat depression, Single Session Therapy, Domestic Violence and Coersive Control.

My first session

If you are interested in working together, I offer an initial 30 minute phonecall to hear more about what you need. This call is free and allows you space to ask any questions you may have about counselling or the way I work. In this phonecall, I will ask you some questions to make sure that I am able to offer what you need.
