About me and my therapy practice
I work in a way that is non-judgmental and supportive, bringing a warm and compassionate approach. It is based on the belief that we each have inner wisdom to find our way forward. This capacity for self-direction can get blocked, buried or diverted. Counselling offers you an opportunity to reflect on and explore thoughts, feelings and emotions, to make sense of them and to develop new ways of looking at yourself and the world around you.
I will provide a safe and confidential space where we can think together and talk through the difficulties you are experiencing at a pace which feels comfortable to you.
I have an MSc in Counselling Psychology and a diploma in Person Centred counselling and am an Accredited member of BACP.
People come to see me when they are distressed for many different reasons. I have experience of working with a wide variety of people who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, identity issues, loss, issues connected to the menopause, self esteem issues, sleep difficulties, suicidal thoughts and trauma. There may be many other reasons for seeking counselling, if something is impacting you and if you think you would like to work with me, please do get in touch.
I offer counselling to adults on line, on weekdays.
My first session
If you’re interested in Counselling with me, please get in touch via email and we can arrange an initial consultation.
This would be a phone or video call which would be up to 20 minutes and free of charge.
The first session will be a chance to discuss if counselling is right for you. I will explain more about how I work and answer any questions you may have. It is also a time to see whether you feel we are a good fit and could build a therapeutic relationship together.
