About me and my therapy practice

I have been practicing as an accredited therapist and clinical supervisor for almost two decades and have extensive experience supporting individuals from 4 years to 80 years old.

I know that life can often lead us to feeling like we are on an emotional rollercoaster and I am here to help you explore your feelings, without judgment, so that you can get yourself back on track.

I have specialised in supporting individuals and groups for many challenging issues, some of which include anxiety, depression and trauma, grief and loss, impact of domestic abuse, survivors of sexual abuse, relationship difficulties, LGBTQ+ issues, family conflict, work related stress, bullying in the workplace, living with chronic pain,  caring for someone with physical and/or mental illness and many more.

If you would like support from an experienced and ethical professional who understands the value of therapeutic time just for you, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Practice description

I am a humanistic therapist who places primary focus on building a safe, ethical and therapeutic relationship where you can explore your feelings at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I believe every individual is unique. I provide every client with the basic core conditions of empathy, congruence and Unconditional Positive Regard, but I also tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, sharing any resources, when relevant, that I think may be of benefit.

About me and my therapy practice

I qualified as a therapist eighteen years ago and as a supervisor ten years ago.

As a BACP accredited therapist and person centred clinical supervisor, I have accumulated hundreds of hours experience in a wide variety of settings.

My core approach is person centred, but I fully respect equality, diversity and inclusion and will adapt my approach in a safe, ethical and humanistic way to meet the unique needs of each supervisee and client.

I will facilitate a safe space, face to face and/or virtually, for you to develop your professional skills and  be the best therapist you can be.

For over ten years I have supervised counsellors providing one to one and group therapy with children, face to face and virtual therapy with teenagers and face to face therapy with adults.

I am specialised in working with severe trauma as a therapist and clinical supervisor and have supported children, teenagers and adults with the impact of bereavement and loss, domestic abuse, family conflict, abandonment and attachment issues, imprisonment of family member, substance misuse, sexual abuse, neglect, violence in the home and many other issues.

I have supported supervisees to work ethically and professionally with Looked After Children and children subject to a Child Protection Plan.

I have supported supervisees to work with clients experiencing Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Sensory Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attachment Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Foetal Alcohol Syndrome, Moderate Learning Difficulties and many more.
