About me and my therapy practice
I believe that looking inwards and asking yourself some important questions is one of the most difficult and crucial things in life. When you are ready to make that step and you feel that you want to implement change in order to deal with emotional, social or behavioral difficulties you might be experiencing – I will aim to provide you with a confidential, safe and a non-judgmental space. By building a supportive therapeutic relationship we can together work through the difficulties that you are facing.
I am an accredited psychotherapist and counsellor working with adult individuals and couples. I have my own private practice and I also work for a mental health charity.
I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all relationship. My approach is Integrative which means that I incorporate a blend of tools and techniques to suit your individual needs.
I will focus on your inner world and what is hidden from consciousness. I will draw out the unconscious responses and reflect them to you. By bringing the unconscious into consciousness you will develop more awareness and as a result have more choice. I will allow you to see a different perspective of what’s going on in your life. My aim as counsellor is aiding you to become a fully functioning person who has more control over what they do and is not driven by unresolved unconscious past events.
I will be asking you questions about your past experience and early years. I do that so I can understand your current behaviour in relation to your past and therefore can help you make the links.
My first session
Because choosing the right therapist may feel as a daunting task, I offer a free 30 minute online (via Zoom) or telephone consultation. You can then decide if you wish to continue with weekly sessions.
