About me and my therapy practice
Life can be challenging and feel overwhelming at times. I aim to offer a trusting, safe and confidential space to enable you to better understand the issues in your life. We can then work together towards finding ways to become more resilient and better able to cope going forward. This includes both day to day life difficulties and more profound or persistent issues in your life.
I have experience of working with young adults in the NHS. I also work with various generalised mental health issues and I have a strong interest in working with women facing menopausal struggles and how best to navigate this challenging time of their lives. Menopause can cause real issues affecting relationships, health, work and self-confidence
My training is in person-centred counselling which means being client-centred but I also have an interest in existential therapy too. My main aim is to build a strong trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your issues. The main aim of our counselling sessions is that they help you to develop a clearer and stronger way forward in your life, so as to cope better going forward.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor offering short-term and long-term counselling depending on your needs. I work in an empathic, non-judgemental and respectful way with all clients. I offer complete confidentiality to my clients.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework.
I am fully insured for the work that I do. I receive regular supervision
I offer a free 15 minute chat on the phone or online for you to see whether you are comfortable that we might work together.
I work in a client-centred way which means that you are the one who dictates what you want to talk about in each session and what issues you would like to explore. I offer full confidentiality to all my clients so that you can safely discuss anything with me knowing it is a safe place to do so.
I offer face to face sessions but am also happy to do walk and talk therapy and I also have extensive experience of working online with clients.
