A lot of the work I do is on Zoom which works well with my clients. I am flexible and work between 10.00 and 17.00 every day of the week. I will also do some evening sessions if clients work during the day.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a dedicated and patient-focused healthcare professional with 30+ years’ experience in General Nursing, Addiction Programme Development, Clinical Management, Team Leadership and Psychotherapy for a broad base of issues.
I am licensed in the UK and I have experience in helping clients with all addictive disorders including eating disorders. I also work with family members and loved ones suffering the effects of addiction in their lives. I have experience in many other areas including family of origin issues, abuse, and relationship dysfunction. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
More recently I have been working with an American organisation and now see clients from all around the world. I have been very inspired to work with clients from Israel who are currently experiencing severe trauma due to the war.
Practice description
I work in a person centred way and from an integrative approach in my practice and implement a range of different ideas developed from a number of theorists. I have worked as a therapist for over 30 years and I believe that every client I have worked with is individual and has their own set of issues.
I believe that it is so important to build a relationship with each client which is based on trust and respect. I had the pleasure years ago at the beginning of my journey, to work with the Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Max Glatt. One of the most important things that Max taught myself and my colleagues, was to "Never give up". Sometimes, life can be very cruel but, with help, there is always a way through the difficult times.
My first session
I think that in the first session, it is important to build a therapeutic relationship and to be able to establish your goals. Trust is so important in the building of a therapeutic relationship and so confidentiality for me is a must!
I believe that it is extremely important for my client to find out about how I work and whether or not they think that they can work with me and so my initial session is half price and I only charge £40.
