About me and my therapy practice
I am a humanist counsellor my pronouns are she/they. I work within the core concepts of person centred. I create a safe and non-judgemental space to begin building the relationship. Through this relationship we can filter things down to look deeper at them. Helping you to look at your life and learn more about yourself.
You may have heard that counselling offers you a 'calm, safe space'. I always create a safe space, but I do not expect you to always be calm. Counselling is about bringing everything about yourself to sessions, whether that is needing to sit and cry or needing let your anger out within a safe space. Having a time and place to explore and feel these emotions can help you to grow, by being seen, heard and accepted for who you are.
I have worked with people from a wide range of different backgrounds. I have worked with people from the LGBTQIA+ community along with people who are neurodiverse. I have experience working with survivors of sexual abuse and have volunteered with Rape Crisis.
I have also worked with people from Macmillan, helping them to come to terms with their recent diagnosis.
My first session
When you reach out to me I will book you in for a free assessment which lasts up to 30 minutes long.
Then sessions will be weekly on the same day at the same time (Things can possibly be changed with enough notice).
Sessions last 50 minutes and are done either by phone call, WhatsApp or Google Meet.
