About me and my therapy practice
Hiya, I'm Mary and I specialise in working with victims of sexual violence particularly adult survivors of childhood abuse. I help people, whatever their difficulties, to feel better about themselves so that they can move on in their lives. I can and have offered people just like you Acceptance, Understanding and A safe place to explore your feelings.
Do you feel desperate at times?
Does life seem ok sometimes but sooner or later the desperation returns?
Do you sometimes feel that something is terribly wrong with you?
Do you fear that a counsellor will say that you are just self-indulgent and weak
Are you afraid that talking about your experience will make it too horribly real.
I have the depth, strength and personal experience to accept what you bring to counselling with acceptance and respect and I believe absolutely in your ability to overcome your difficulties.
I offer a free 20 minute consult over the phone which is totally confidential.
I work from a clinic as part of a group of therapists who offer a range of modes. I work with adults who present with a variety of difficulties but I have the most experience with sexual trauma, depression, difficulties associated with low self esteem and relationship difficulties.
I work with clients face-to-face and on Skype and Zoom.
My first session
In your first session I am intetrested in finding out a little bit about who you are other than your difficulties. Obviously the specific difficulty(s) which bring you to counselling are important for me to find out about and I always want to know how you think counselling might be able to be of use to you and what you want to achieve.
