About me and my therapy practice
I have worked within the charity sector and for the NHS including charities such as: YoungMinds, MindOut and LGBT Switchboard. I have also worked across two hospitals in Sussex for University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
I have a postgraduate diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a degree is Psychology and Counselling.
I am a BACP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor who draws on the values and concepts within the humanistic paradigm. Everyone is unique and because of this, our interaction will also be unique to us. I also draw on ideas from existential therapy and Transactional Analysis (TA).
The humanistic approach can generally focus on growth, understanding and accepting responsibilities and exploring your choices (or lack of choice). We can decide together what we’re working on; typically, we may touch on finding your strength, self-development and ways you can grow and feel better about how you’re feeling and yourself.
My first session
- After you email me or complete the form on my website, I will send you a document to complete which will ask you some basic questions about how you're feeling and what you're looking for.
- We can then schedule a free 30 minute introductory session. The session will be a chance for us to meeting and decide whether we want to proceed.
