About me and my therapy practice
When life feels like a struggle it is often difficult to know what to do. You can end up feeling a bit lost and alone, unsure of where to turn or who to talk to. Sharing your troubles with friends and family might feel too hard, perhaps you are not even sure what you would say. Being able to explore your experiences with a counsellor can help provide the clarity and perspective you need.
I provide a safe, gentle and confidential space in which I encourage you to be yourself. I want to connect to you and your story, and understand your experience. You may be in the midst of a stressful life event; a bereavement, a break-up or change of circumstance. Or sometimes overwhelming feelings just appear to arise from nowhere. You find yourself constantly worrying or feeling sad. My role is to support you through your challenges. I want you to feel comfortable being who you are and to have the confidence to embrace your life.
It can be difficult to decide who to talk to so I offer a free 30 minute initial session. This gives us the opportunity to meet, to explore what you are looking for from therapy and to establish whether I am the right therapist for you. If necessary, I am happy to support you to find alternative help.
