About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP and BABCP accredited therapist based in the Belfast and Bangor area. My approach is evidence based and largely cognitive behavioural although I also have training in a wide range of areas including family systemic therapy, EMDR and compassion focussed therapy.
I work alongside people with a wide range of difficulties affecting the quality of their relationships, working life and well-being. Often, if a person finds support before a problems becomes severe improvement can be felt within weeks. Some issues are more long-term in nature and so can the work can take longer. Treatment usually lasts between 8-20 sessions.
I have led and delivered psychological services in GP practices for over a decade. I also work in a specialist trauma unit and have developed a specific interest and expertise in this important area.
Clients can self refer and I am registered with all private medical insurers.
