About me and my therapy practice
REBECCA POND - INTEGRATIVE THERAPIST / HUMANISTIC & RADICALLY OPEN-DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOUR THERAPY (RO-DBT) THERAPIST
My name is Rebecca Pond. I am an experienced Integrative Therapist working with Adults from a Humanistic Integrative Perspective and specialising in Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO-DBT).
Humanistic perspective is one of self discovery and growth to actualize your fullest potential and drawing on principles from Person Centred Therapy (PCT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and Gestalt.
RO-DBT is a treatment for if you struggle with anxiety and depression. Feelings, thoughts and beliefs about yourself and the world may lead you to avoid situations and intimacy with others, this can impact the connections you have with people in your life and how they feel about yourself. You may feel trapped in your situation and hopeless. I have a range of skills to draw on including mindfulness practices and those based on neuroscience that I can teach you to build new self awareness and open up new possibilities, better connections and freedom to enjoy a life you aspire to which is unique to you.
My approach is based on building a strong therapeutic relationship with you, where thoughts, feelings and experiences can be shared and explored within the safety of this confidential relationship and the therapeutic space. We will work together with curiosity, exploring your difficulties and what you hope to achieve from therapy. Sessions can offer you clarity on what it is you need and enable you to get in touch with your inner resources, learn new skills to help you make the changes you need to help you reach your goals, improve your sense of self and general well-being.
Incorporating this grounding and the approaches I can tailor the treatment to fit your needs and desired goals.
