About me and my therapy practice

When we feel like our world has been ripped apart, we can experience overwhelming feelings of sadness, lonliness, anger, guilt, shame, relief, numbness, worthlessness, helplessness or emptiness. Maybe there's also pressure to move on, get better or get back to normal. This can feel impossible when you don't know what normal is anymore, who you are or what you really want.

It’s OK not to be OK. We all need to take some time to repair and rethink from time to time. You might wish that you could give yourself more understanding and patience. Maybe you want to stop avoiding social situations or you desperately want to stop snapping at or pushing other people away. It could be that you are just tired of wrestling with this on your own and are fed up of being frightened of losing everyone around you or being rejected.

Change and loss can come in so many forms, for example, bereavement, redundancy, retirement, divorce, separation or family issues, moving home, a new job, becoming a parent, illness or poor health, depression and anxiety, or loss of identity to name a few.  

I would love to have the opportunity to work with you to help you find your way through the change, loss or bereavement you have experienced. Helping you to recognise yourself again, gain control of your overwhelming emotions, think more clearly, discover what gives you purpose and how to get more of this in your life.

I offer appointments during the daytime, evenings and Saturday mornings which means that I am available at times that suit you best. 

I am based just outside Chorley, within easy reach of the M6, M61 and M65.  Free parking is available on site.   

I am within approx. 10 minutes walk of Buckshaw Village Train Station.
