About me and my therapy practice
Hi there, these are REALLY trying times so I truly appreciate you taking the brave step to reach out. I'm here, happy to work with you on the journey. My therapy style is warm, interactive, accepting & specific to you. I am internationally trained to MSc level & have worked in the UK & overseas. This means I bring inter/multicultural richness & diversity to our sessions. I am skilled to serve the unique needs of the local & international diaspora & those feeling displaced. I also have clinical & pastoral training (Uk) & a multi faith theology degree offering spiritual counselling for those who desire a Christian and/or faith based perspective.
Practice description
I have over 20 years experience, working in clinical, university, school, church and local community settings. I have specialist training & interest in adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD & Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's), trauma. I am a certified, play/creative therapist (USA/UK) with a MSc in Counselling Psychology, marriage & family emphasis.There are many ways to talk and communicate. I am happy to utilise creative therapeutic techniques to help you express in a safe way.
My first session
Therapeutic work usually begins with intake.
We will use a base line DSM-5 screener to rule out any major underlying issues. This will ensure that you our work together is on point and also may help you decide if further referral via NHS or your local G.P. is required.

I also helped many people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) and trauma as well as those experiencing migration, relocation loss.
