About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced BACP and UKCP registered counselor and psychotherapist working in private practice in Brighton (BN2).

My therapeutic style is integrative meaning that with I draw on a range of tools and techniques to create a therapeutic approach that is effective for each client. I value your collaboration in this and will ask for your feedback as we work together so I know what interventions you are finding supportive and what you'd like me to change.

The techniques that I draw on include Psychosynthesis psychotherapy techniques (e.g. guided imagery, voice dialogue, chair-work, meditation, disidentification, subpersonality work, dream interpretation and drawing/creative expression) as well as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) one of the better known modalities in the emerging field of Energy Psychology. I’ve found that these tools really support people to gain relief from the emotions and cognitive patterns that are causing them distress and help them to build new perspectives on the patterns and modes of relating that are causing difficulty and holding them back in their lives.

I have more than 10 years of post-qualification experience and have worked in private practice, public health services and inpatient and outpatient services. Please visit my website if you would like to know more about my experience and qualifications.
