About me and my therapy practice

As an integrative practitioner, I incorporate tools from several different models of therapy, in order to tailor your therapy to you.

I work mainly with young adults (18-38) who are experiencing a sense of meaninglessness or lack of direction related to their lives/lifestyle or their future (this is also known as a Quarter Life Crisis). There are many different ways of arriving at this developmental crisis and there are many ways of getting through it.

I'm currently running a group programme consisting of 4 sessions at £120 (£30 each session). It is a structured programme where we explore the factors of Quarter Life, and what constitutes a Quarter Life Crisis.

This is a safe space to explore where you are now and how you're feeling around that; we'll generate options for the future and look at how you'd like your life to look; then we can take small steps in building the life and identity that will make your life feel meaningful and fulfilling.

The benefit to group work rather than 1:1 is that we form connections and benefit from more than one alternative frame of reference. The sense of community and connection that this space brings in itself can be very healing.

Practice description

Personal Consultancy is a therapeutic model which integrates counselling and coaching. I am trained in both disciplines, and using this model means that clients receive a richer experience that is responsive and flexible

I provide a non-judgmental, confidential space where I foster a safe environment for exploration. Unlike pure coaching, I am therapeutically trained to explore deeper issues and emotional unbalances. I look to increase awareness and create an environment where healing can occur. Unlike counselling, Personal Consultancy doesn't have to work through the past and stop at the present - we have the opportunity to explore your future, how you would like it to look, and make plans to get you there. We can explore what you would like to do with your insights, how to maintain change and continue to develop.

My first session

In the first session of our group work, we will introduce ourselves and talk about Quarter Life Crises (QLC) - where the term has come from, what it means and define the different types of QLC that research has unearthed. The first session is gentle, and from my experience people come away feeling a sense of belonging, and an excitement about this fresh start.

About me and my therapy practice

The next cohort of group counselling for people in their 20s and 30s will run in October and November.

This is a group consisting of 4 sessions at £120 (£30 each session). It is a structured programme where we explore the factors of Quarter Life, and what constitutes a Quarter Life Crisis. We then move into which of the three pillars of this Quarter Life era are missing/a bit off balance and can create a plan going forward beyond the sessions to help put you back on the path that you want to be on (which may not be the path you're on now).

The benefit to group work rather than 1:1 is that we form connections and benefit from more than one alternative frame of reference. The sense of community and connection that this space beings in itself can be very healing.
