About me and my therapy practice
In my work, I offer a warm, sensitive and compassionate place for you to safely explore feelings, issues and life circumstances in a way and at a pace that feels right for you. It may be difficult for you to share these issues with family and friends for fear of not being understood or being judged; I will ensure that the environment is safe, neutral and confidential for you to gain the support that you need at this time. Counselling can give us that reflective space, to make sense of life events and to deepen our understanding of our selves and those around us, so that different life choices open up to us.
My practice is based upon my belief that each person is a unique individual and in therapy no "one size fits all". I therefore use an integrative Clarkson approach drawing on many different theoretical models according to each individual's needs. I believe that by developing a deeper understanding of ourselves it is possible to make changes in our lives. Talking to a counsellor can provide a unique opportunity to explore, gain understanding and make significant, long lasting changes.
