About me and my therapy practice

 My availability

I offer daytime and evening appointments in a safe environment. I work from an office base in Fenton where I offer face to face sessions, working to stringent covid guidelines around health and safety. I have also offered telephone and zoom counselling and I will continue to offer this service after covid.

Hello and welcome to my profile and to M J Counselling Services’ I have many years’ experiences. I have experience working with serving soldiers, veterans and their families, as a counsellor with Help for Heroes and working on the Military Ward at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. I have also worked for several charities supporting people that have experienced sexual and domestic violence

I am passionate about the counselling process, having personal therapy myself. I found it very therapeutic for my own personal growth. My decision to become a counsellor was due to a very personal loss and with Mental Health escalating at a high rate, I was passionate to be able to offer a service for the many people struggling which brought me into the counselling world.

When a client comes through my doors their initial reason for coming to therapy can be daunting but with time and space this is something we can work on together in a therapeutic and safe environment.

I understand how difficult it can be making the first steps and asking for help, but together we can make the journey more bearable and help you to look forward.
