About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Vicky. I am an experienced integrative counsellor offering a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing. I practice from an integrative model of counselling meaning that I draw on understanding from numerous therapeutic modalities and approaches enabling me to adapt my practice to the unique needs of each client.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central to counselling and client's progress through their counselling journey, therefore, through my practice I strive to offer an empathic, non-judgemental therapeutic space where you feel safe to share and explore those areas of life currently causing you distress.
You may be visiting my listing today as you may currently be experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma or may feel overwhelmed by experiences or emotions. At times, this may be related to a particular life event or experience or this may feel it has come from nowhere. During these times it may feel difficult to know where to turn and you may at times feel alone in your experiences. I offer a safe, non-judgemental, empathic therapeutic space where you can share your experiences, feel heard and empowered to together explore and work to make sense of those areas of life or experience which may currently feel overwhelming. Through our sessions we will work together at a pace which feels safe and comfortable for you to facilitate insight and to support you to feel empowered to find the right way for you.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor can at first feel overwhelming and the first step to accessing counselling can feel the most difficult. You are welcome to contact me via telephone or email and together we can discuss and understand your needs. You should never feel rushed or pressured into your decision and it is important that you find a counsellor who feels right for you. I offer a free initial telephone consultation during which time we can discuss how we can best work together and to give you a better idea of whether I’m the right counsellor for you.
