About me and my therapy practice
I work with clients to build a safe, supportive and understanding environment where we can explore those particular issues which may be limiting your development and getting in the way of life. Our work together can help you move towards improved understanding, positive change or a greater acceptance of your situation.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. As an integrative practitioner I embrace a number of theories to help develop a trusting and effective working alliance with clients.
My initial training included
- Person Centred Therapy
- Gestalt Therapy
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
My style of working is always determined by the therapeutic relationship which develops between us. Counselling is your space to explore life, understand your sense of self and work towards your own personal goals.
Practice description
Hourly sessions are charged at £40 for daytime appointments and £50 after 6pm and at weekends. I sometimes have availability to offer appointments at a reduced rate - please contact me to discuss this.
Sessions take place at The Well in the heart of Kings Heath. The Well is a natural health centre providing a range of holistic treatment and therapies aimed at working with the whole person rather than focusing on individual symptoms.
Home visits may be available in Kings Heath and Moseley for those who are unable to attend the centre.
My first session
The initial assessment session provides an opportunity to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and to decide whether we feel we can work together. It also allows us to discuss your goals, think about the possible length of therapy and agree how we will review progress over time.
