About me and my therapy practice
Do you or a loved one have ADHD, Autism or Dyslexia ? Have you been struggling with your mental health or wellbeing ? Do you suspect that you may be neuro-divergent and need some emotional support ? If this is you I am here to help. Too often the emotional impact of living with neuro-divergence is overlooked, you may be struggling to understand your experience or trying to make sense of how a neuro-divergent diagnosis fits into your life experience.
I offer neuro-divergent focused person centred therapy, providing a safe and confidential space where you can talk through whatever is going on for you. I was diagnosed with dyslexia in childhood and have recently been diagnosed with combination type ADHD, so have lived experience of some of the challenges life can present for neuro-divergent people.
I have experience working with both children and adults for a leading mental health charity and in private practice. Practice description
I work with clients in person from my offices at Woodfield Park Balby Doncaster. I also offer on line sessions via the zoom platform.
As a person centred counsellor I work with what ever you want to bring to each session. You are the expert in your life, it is my job to help you work through what ever is on your mind.
I appreciate that some people with neuro-divergent brains need a bit of extra help accessing counselling.
This could be consideration to sensory issues, supporting executive function difficulties with session reminders or something else that would help support you access the counselling process.
I am flexible in my approach to working and will always try and find ways to accommodate your individual needs where possible.

My first session
I offer a free 20 minute session, where we can get to know each other a little.
I believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is the key to effective counselling. I want to give you to opportunity to find out if you feel I am a good fit for what you need from counselling.
It also gives me the opportunity to make sure I can support what you are looking for.
