About me and my therapy practice

II am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist providing counselling and psychotherapy from my established private practice near Tonbridge in Kent. I practice as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. In addition, I am a BACP accredited counsellor. People come to therapy to see me for a variety of different reasons. Sometimes they don’t know what’s wrong, but know they don’t feel right and want to do something about it. I believe that the most important consideration is to find someone that you can connect with and feel comfortable talking to. This forms the starting point for a trusting therapeutic relationship where you can feel listen to, really heard and understood. Healing and personal growth can then be achieved from within this kind of caring environment I offer. We will co-create that relationship we establish and develop between us.

My journey professionally has involved nursing, teaching, counselling and psychotherapy. I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and a Certified Transactional Analyst, which is an internationally recognised qualification in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy. I have completed advanced clinical training in transactional analysis psychotherapy. I adopt a naturally integrative and relational approach to the psychotherapy that I provide.

I am experienced in working with individuals of all ages, including young people and the elderly. I also work with couples for relationship therapy and groups. My experience as a psychotherapist has been within the NHS and private clinic and hospital settings as well as in private practice. I enjoy working with people for both short and longer term therapy. I am experienced in working with a wide range of presenting mental health issues and I specialise in working with trauma, anxiety and depression and issues around eating and weight.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in professional practice near Tonbridge in Kent. I provide psychotherapy, clinical supervision and training to individuals and groups. Clinical supervision is provided for counsellors and psychotherapists on a one-to-one and group basis. I am a counselling tutor at Peter Symonds College and an experienced assessor and examiner for various counselling and psychotherapy colleges.  I have been working with clients with a range of complex issues in hospital, NHS, clinic and private practice settings since 2010.  I have completed extensive transactional analysis training and am a Certified Transactional Analyst, an internationally recognised psychotherapy qualification, registered with UKATA.   I am an experienced teacher holding a Certificate in Post Compulsory Education and a Registered General Nurse, with a wealth of experience in health and educational settings.  Providing clinical supervision continues to be an extremely important part of my professional practice and it provides the opportunity for empowering creative and collaborative learning and personal growth. I provide a warm and collaborative environment for your supervision. It is important to feel comfortable with your supervisor so that you can be yourself and share all aspects of your professional practice.  Supervision might be used to support you in a variety of different ways. For example: presenting client work, academic support and preparing for exams, dealing with professional and ethical issues, working with transference and countertransference, setting up in private practice, working on your confidence, widening your knowledge and approach plus sharing your experiences and professional practice.

My journey professionally has involved nursing, teaching, counselling and psychotherapy. I adopt a naturally integrative and relational approach to the supervision that I provide.
