About me and my therapy practice
My name is Rebecca Aharon and I work in Golders Green, North West London.
You may be trying to come to terms with pain or disappointment or you may feel overwhelmed by what is happening in your life. Maybe you are feeling sad or lonely, anxious or angry and it may be difficult to like yourself or others. Current difficulties may stir up painful thoughts and feelings from the past. You may have turned to your family or friends or tried to sort out your difficulties yourself, sometimes with success, sometimes without. You may realise that certain issues remain unresolved, and that seeing a therapist may help you to deal with these issues.
Although I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I also work integrativley. This means that I use different approaches and perspectives, that allows me to work with your uniqueness. I have extensive experience working with clients who are struggling with a range of difficulties.
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental setting in which to explore and gain a greater understanding of your worries, fears, feelings and thoughts and also your dreams and fantasies.
My aim is to enable and to help empower you to enhance your life. To gain a sense of clarity, harmony and to live your life more fully, and more positively.
My first session
The first session will be either arranged by email or by phone. You will be invited to for an initial consultation/assessment, lasting 50 minutes.
This will be a good opportunity to get to know each other a little bit and for you to talk about why you want therapy at this time and to talk about the things that are worrying you.
This is also when I will go through some practical matters such as, confidentiality, fees, cancellation matters. And hopefully setting a time for therapy.
