About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and coach, based in Shoreditch, Central London EC2 and working remotely via video / phone sessions with clients across the UK. I am fully insured, a member of the UKCP and registered with the BACP. I have worked successfully with people of all ages and backgrounds on a range of issues for over 12 years.

My style is straightforward, humanistic and warm and my approach to this work is relational, holistic and sensitive to social and cultural diversity. I aim to provide a respectful space, where you can explore and reflect on the issue you have brought and work towards a more happier and healthier way of being.

I will support you to understand and make sense of the experiences that have shaped you and how they might impact on the 'here-and-now'. With increased awareness of how you relate to yourself, others and the world around you, new perspectives and increased choice in how you live your life is made possible.

As an integrative therapist, I understand that your experiences, challenges, pain and gifts are completely unique to you. Therefore, I individually tailor my approach to suit your needs, using a wide range of thinking and techniques.

Previously, I worked for Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in South London as a psychotherapist and saw acute clients for a range of complex issues. I was also a counsellor and psychotherapist with Camden, City of Islington and Westminster Bereavement Service and The Minster Centre Counselling and Psychotherapy Service.

Areas of specialism include:

My first session

The initial session and assessment takes around 50 - 60 minutes (or 90 minutes for couples and relationships therapy).

It give us the opportunity to talk through the reasons bringing you to counselling / psychotherapy / coaching at this time and for me to ask some background questions.

In turn, you’ll also get the chance to get a feel for me, how I work and to ask any questions you might have about the process and practicalities. From there you can go away and see how the session felt and whether you would like to start therapy with me. There is no obligation to continue should you so choose.
