In-person hours are between 0800 and 1930 hrs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
I am able to be flexible with hrs on those days if you prefer online or telephone counselling.
About me and my therapy practice
The thought of trusting someone with our deepest concerns can be a daunting prospect.
I am a calm and gentle, integrative therapist, who believes in developing the necessary resources to overcome our challenges. Healing is a progressive journey, often aided by working with someone who can facilitate our discovery of solutions to those challenges.
I offer a safe and confidential working environment, understanding trust to be a pre-requisite to opening up on the issues that deeply trouble us.
Using evidence-based modalities, I will guide you in growing your self-awareness, encouraging you to challenge unhelpful beliefs, and discover solutions to your problems as an expert of your own experience.
My own journey
I made a life-changing transition into counselling after a life in financial markets. Immersed in a wide range of cultures and environments, I learned much through my own experience of stress and anxiety, managing high-pressure situations and the need to resolve frequent conflict.
I've worked with sufferers from alcohol and other addictions for over 20 years on a voluntary basis and understand that many forms of substance misuse, or behaviour traits can often appear an attractive alternative to the overwhelming pressures and emotions we feel.
Sessions last for 50 minutes which at the start are likely to occur weekly, although you control that frequency with whatever feels comfortable. Treatment will only last for as long as you feel it is beneficial and necessary. You are free to drop out of treatment at any stage, and we will always check in together about how you feel things are going.

The first couple of sessions are primarily used as a platform for getting to know a little more about you, assess your presenting issues and learn what your goals for treatment are. Treatment plans are agreed together and always remain open for review.
My first session
Before your first session (Initial Assessment) I ask we have a brief talk on the phone which should last no more than 15 mins. This allows you the opportunity to assess if a future session together feels likely to work for you, and me the chance to understand a little more about the issues you are facing.
Once we agree on a date for your First Session, you will receive a confirmatory email, a brief contracting form to fill in, and details of where to find me.
