About me and my therapy practice

Life can get overwhelming, and you might find yourself at a crossroads, feeling stuck or seeking clarity amid chaos. Remember, it's okay to feel lost, anxious, or weighed down by your emotions; these are natural responses to life's ups and downs.

I offer a compassionate space where your feelings and experiences are heard and valued and where I can join you on your path to self-discovery and healing.

You might be navigating various emotional landscapes, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem struggles, life transitions, or addiction. I've dedicated 18 years to the addiction field and become a psychotherapist in this time, working with individuals facing varied challenges.

I am:

Non-Judgmental: Here, you're free to express yourself without fear of judgment. It's a secure and confidential space to be your true self.

Empathetic: I approach counselling with a deep understanding of your unique story, struggles, and strengths. I listen without bias and offer steadfast support.

Collaborative: Our journey is a partnership. I'll guide you, but the direction is yours to determine. We'll set achievable goals and work at your pace.

Believe in Holistically Healing People: I believe in a holistic approach, recognizing that emotional well-being is intertwined with various aspects of your life.

About me and my therapy practice

Addiction can make you feel isolated and defeated, but you don't have to go through this journey alone. Every person has the strength within them to heal and recover. As your counsellor, I provide unwavering support, understanding, and a non-judgmental space where you can open up about your experiences, no matter how difficult they may be. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and the belief that recovery is possible for everyone.

Empowering You to Reclaim Your Life:

Recovery is not about judgment or blame; it's about empowerment. Together, we'll explore the factors contributing to your addiction, the emotions you've been coping with, and the behaviours that have led you to this point. We can begin to heal and make positive changes by understanding the underlying issues.

Helping Families Heal Together:

Addiction doesn't affect just one person; it ripples through families and relationships. If your loved ones have watched you spiral into addiction, I'm also here to support them. I offer counselling sessions designed to help your family members navigate the complexities of addiction, enabling them to understand, support, and heal alongside you.

Non-Judgmental Space:

My counselling sessions are a judgment-free zone. I recognize that addiction is a complex and multifaceted issue, and I approach it with empathy, respect, and the understanding that it's a condition, not a moral failing. You can share your experiences, thoughts, and emotions without fear of criticism or condemnation.

Holistic Approach to Recovery:

Recovery is not just about quitting a substance or behaviour; it's about rediscovering your purpose, passions, and joy. I approach addiction counselling holistically, addressing physical, emotional, and mental well-being. We'll work on relapse prevention, coping strategies, building healthy relationships, and self-care to ensure your long-term success.
