About me and my therapy practice

Counselling has become a greater understood and normalised way of getting help to identify your needs in times of uncertainty and personal instability. This came to light particularly during the challenging time of the pandemic and has meant that more people are reaching out for support.

Working in a warm and confidential setting, I work with the here and now considerations of your immediate circumstances. This is in contrast to working to interpret a person’s meaning through analysis of their childhood development. By establishing what might be going on for you, acknowledging your present reality, greater clarity can be found through a therapeutic rapport.

Perhaps you are struggling in your relationships, feel unheard and unacknowledged by people close to you. Or you need to gain understanding about a complicated situation. Maybe you want to overcome an undesirable attribute or unwanted behaviour. Or do you want to overcome depression, come to terms with loss and grief or simply get support through a difficult time in your life. Counselling provides a place for you to reflect on what you may be finding challenging and through talking in a safe space, find clarity in order to make decisions that truly benefit you.
