Hello thank you for visiting my profile page, I am an experienced therapist with over 20 years experience of working with children and young people and adults.
My working week is flexible and I am happy to arrange appointments from Tuesday to Thursday to meet the needs of my clients.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor of counsellor and psychotherapists and have worked in a variety of settings in both the voluntary and statutory sectors.
My practice is essentially Humanistic in nature, utilising person centred elements together with alternative models. My belief is that the relationship between the counsellor and client is the most important factor in any work we do together.
I maintain my BACP accreditation by regular updating my training or Continued Professional Development and my work includes both counselling and supervising.
Practice description
I can offer clients a safe confidential space in which to explore their difficulties, to help improve self esteem and confidence and to encourage clients to self healing and autonomy in their lives.
My previous experience has included working for an addiction agency, a voluntary counselling organisation and latterly with a National Children's Counselling service, Child's bereavement service and local hospice, plus EAP companies.
My first session
Please contact me for a informal discussion (no charge) by phone/email to discuss your needs and to establish whether you feel that we could work together.
