About me and my therapy practice
As an integrative relational counsellor and coach, I can help you to feel more at ease so that you can understand and manage whatever life throws at you.
I offer face-to-face, telephone and online sessions to adults aged 18 and over who are feeling emotionally distressed and want to feel more at ease so that they can live a fulfilled life.
I have over twenty years’ experience as a nurse working in NHS and local authority organisations with a focus on healthy lifestyles. I also have eight years’ experience as a qualified coach working with workplace difficulties, career development and improving health. I have experience as a counsellor in a mental health charity and private practice working with a wide range of issues including relationship difficulties, anxiety and depression, and trauma.
You may be considering counselling because something is happening right now which is causing you distress, or it may be something that has happened in the past which you would like to work in a space where you will be heard. You may want to focus on your hopes and dreams and looking for support to take the first step.
I work in a person-centred way that seeks to understand your experience and hopes for the future. I believe that by working together you will be able to find the answers to work through your difficulties. As I have a background in nursing and coaching, I can explore with you a variety of psychological theory and tools that best meets your needs.
You will be listened to and heard. You will feel that your experiences are accepted and understood. I provide a trusting and empowering space. Counselling can help you to make sense of what is happening in your life right now.

My first session
I offer a free 30 minute introductory session online or by telephone. This is an opportunity to ask me questions and to see if you want to work with me before committing further.
In our introductory session, we will discuss what brings you to counselling, how long you would initially like to commit for, and what you would like to be different at the end of counselling. Some people like to commit for 6 - 12 sessions, while others prefer to keep it open ended. The choice is yours.
I will also ask some questions to help me assess whether I have the skills and experience to offer the support that you need. If appropriate, I may suggest other sources of specialist support.
