About me and my therapy practice

My approach to counselling is based on an integrated approach, initially using Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Having qualified as a counsellor in 2012, I have continued to develop my skills and knowledge through Continuing Professional Development.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety (including OCD), relationship problems, self esteem and confidence issues parenting challenges, bereavement, career challenges, ADHD and suicidal thinking. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Believing in working with people and don't believe in stigmatizing labels.

I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

Practice description

I offer face-to-face appointments through various means whether face-to-face in a confidential environment, video-calls, messaging or via telephone. I am also able to offer walking consultations, if the client feels this may be effective.

Sessions will last approximately 50 minutes which is considered a therapeutic hour.

My first session

Our first session is for us to get to know about each other and agree the way forward. As a consequence, I offer a concessionary rate for the first session.

To enable monitoring of your progression, we can discuss whether you feel it may be appropriate for you to complete a questionnaire for comparison. However, this is not compulsory as you measure how you feel all the time.
