About me and my therapy practice
I am committed to providing counselling as affordably as possible and working in a person-centred and non-judgmental way. I have benefitted from undertaking counselling myself which is how I ended up training.
I work part time in a non-related field and maintain a private counselling practice in Woodford, East London. I am female, white British, age 49.
I hold a Diploma in person-centred counselling from Metanoia Institute and undertook placements at Mind and at the University of East London. I am happy to work on a time-limited basis or longer term.
I have experience in a broad range of issues and continually develop my skills and knowledge via workshops and other training opportunities.
In addition to my Diploma I have undertaken further training and workshops in group work; pre-therapy in psychiatric settings; fantasies and trauma; working with sight-loss; play therapy; embodied therapy and working with people withdrawing from prescribed psychiatric medication.
Whilst my experience is broad, the majority of the clients I have worked with have been struggling with feelings of anxiety, depression, worries and general unhappiness.
My counselling room is well ventilated and our chairs are placed well apart in recognition of the continuing coronavirus situation. I can also work online / via telephone if requested.
