About me and my therapy practice
Life can be difficult and sometimes it helps to have someone to talk to who is not a friend or relative. Sometimes you know what the problem is - it could be work issues, bereavement or relationship difficulties. You may be feeling sad, angry, confused, guilty, anxious or fearful. Often difficult feelings have their roots in the past, particularly if there has been abuse. Perhaps you are suffering from panic attacks, insomnia , addiction or eating problems. Sometimes you can't put your finger on what the problem is - you just feel troubled, low or anxious and unable to function well on a day-to-day basis.
I have over 20 years experience as counsellor and have worked in GP surgeries and as a school counsellor. I offer a safe, confidential space in which you can talk about whatever is troubling you. I will listen to what you have to say and support you to find your own solutions. I will never judge of criticise you or put you under pressure to do or feel anything. I will not give you advice but by asking the right questions I will help you to understand yourself better so that you feel more able to take control of your life.
Just being able to talk honestly about how you feel and to be heard can be tremendously healing. Talking about aspects of yourself that you find shameful or unacceptable and knowing that you are accepted without judgement can help you be more accepting of yourself.
I work in a comfortable quiet room in a central location about 5 minutes walk from Glastonbury town centre. Off-street parking is available.
I offer a free initial session.
