About me and my therapy practice

Choosing the right therapist is an important step in the therapeutic process.

My practice is built upon empathy and an unconditional positive approach to working with clients. It is important to me that I help you get the best from our sessions together and I aim to do this by developing a real understanding of what is going on for you.

I am an integrative therapist, which means that I will tailor our sessions in a way that will most benefit you. I draw on various therapeutic modalities including humanistic and behavioural approaches, based upon your needs and the issues you may wish to bring. Together, we can work to build a strong therapeutic relationship which can help to facilitate change in your life.

My therapy room is a confidential and relaxing space, in which you are able to speak freely and without worry of judgement. I work in private practice and my office is based in Wilmslow. I also work as a staff counsellor for the NHS and Local Government. I see clients on an individual basis and provide both short term counselling sessions and longer term psychotherapy.

Within my practice, I help clients experiencing a wide range of complex issues such as unresolved trauma, relationship problems, bereavement and anxieties. Clients sometimes tell me that they feel embarrassed for bringing their issues to a therapist. This can be a natural part of the process, but it is important to remember that your wellbeing matters and your feelings are valid. We all have the right to self-development and a good quality of life. Any changes you wish to make can begin today.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their ethical framework. I undertake regular supervision and frequently attend professional workshops and further training for my own continued personal development.
