About me and my therapy practice

During these unusual times I am offering counselling and supervision via online platforms or by telephone.

Life events, traumatic experience, loss and bereavement can result in feelings of anxiety, stress, anger or depression and resulting relationship difficulties could be preventing you from living life to the full. It maybe that you have a sense of something not feeling right in your life without being able to pin that on anything in particular. Perhaps you sense the origins of your difficulties are from an earlier time in your life and you now feel it’s time to consider these or maybe more recent events have left you feeling overwhelmed

I offer counselling for a range of such issues and personal difficulties. As well as my experience in private practice I have over 20 years of experience of working in counselling agencies. I have taught Integrative Counselling to degree level and on Diploma in Supervision courses. I welcome trainee counsellors seeking to develop their personal awareness as part of their training. I offer supervision to groups and individual counsellors and those in other caring professions. I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation or an initial 50 minute session at the reduced fee of £30 so that potential clients can find out where and how I work with no obligation to continue.

My Qualifications include, BA Hons Counselling, Diploma in Supervision and Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling. I am also a registered nurse in Mental Health. I have additional training and experience of working with people who have experienced loss during pregnancy and adults who experienced childhood abuse.

My personal work experience of working in the NHS, education and running my own business allows me some insight into some of the work issues that clients bring to counselling.
