About me and my therapy practice
I’m Katie and I’m a warm, empathic and qualified counsellor, registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I offer individual counselling sessions to adults and young people (16+).
I believe wholeheartedly in the power of counselling and my aim is to establish a supportive environment where you feel able to explore whatever you’re experiencing so we can work through things together. Counselling provides you with an opportunity to learn, grow and develop so you can improve elements of your life; think of it as an investment in yourself.
I am committed to offering a confidential and ethical service, and have regular supervision and attend relevant workshops / short courses to support my own knowledge and professional development.
I have experience working with both adults and young people (16+), in both long and short-term therapy, covering a variety of issues;
• Low self-esteem
• Relationship / family issues
• Gender issues
As well as private practice, I work at a College supporting young people and at a Crisis Centre.
It’s really important to find the right counsellor for you, so for that reason I offer a free 30-minute session. I offer both daytime and evening appointments in a dedicated counselling suite in Basingstoke town centre. Please get in touch if you’d like any more information from me or have any questions.
