I will then contact you as soon as possible to arrange a 20 minutes no obligation chat, where you can ask any questions and share what has brought you to counselling. I can also tell you a little bit about myself and the counselling process.

I am a calm, warm and caring person, with a nurturing, person centred and relational approach to therapy. I offer a safe, confidential, empathetic and non- judgemental environment, where you have the space to share your experiences and innermost thoughts and feelings in your own time.
I am an integrative counsellor, whereby I believe that there is no single approach that works for every person, as every person’s needs are unique to themselves. Therefore, I have an open and active involvement in the therapeutic relationship offering insights and suggestions from combined therapeutic approaches, when I feel it may be useful to your experience.
This way of working provides you with the autonomy to lead the session, while having the opportunity to look at different approaches and decide for yourself what feels right and useful for you.
I believe that the counselling therapeutic relationship and environment can provide the therapeutic conditions to facilitate positive change and growth.

My first session
The Initial assessment session will be a time to gather information and for you to share what has brought you to counselling, as well as discuss your goals and expectations. This session will also provide us with the opportunity to get to know each other a little better and from here we can decide if we would like to work together. You may need some time to decide if I am the right counsellor for you before you start counselling sessions and that is ok.
If you decide counselling could work for you, we can arrange some sessions and begin to explore what has brought you to counselling.
