About me and my therapy practice
During therapy, I take a phenomenological approach to conceptualisation and treatment. This means that I try to remain close to people's unique relationships with objects/ events and their subjective meaning-making.
Please note that I am insured, ICO registered and hold an up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate. I have regular clinical supervision with another experienced practitioner, as required by the BACP.
I am a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist, which means that I retain an openness to understanding people's experiences and issues. The theory and interventions that I use in therapy come from a range of modalities, including person-centred, cognitive-behavioural and psychodynamic therapies.
