About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling in Cambridge and the surrounding village of Swaffham Bulbeck to individuals and couples.
When you first get in touch I will suggest we meet for a consultation session. During that session we will discuss what you hope to get out of counselling and I will explain the structure, including how confidentiality works and the storing of notes. You can then decide whether you would like to go ahead with the counselling and we will then arrange to meet weekly. If at the end of the consultation meeting you decide that you do not wish to go ahead this is no problem at all and there is no commitment to continue.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I use a variety approaches including Internal Family Systems, Gestalt and Narrative Therapy. I always start with what you, the client, want as I see it as a collaborative relationship to foster processing, healing and restoration. I like to use artistic and creative interventions but again this is always the client's choice.
I am a registered member of BACP and have 8 years clinical experience including adults, children and couples. I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework. I have trained in Psychotherapy to Masters level and specialise in relational dynamics.
I work with clients struggling with a wide range of issues including:
- depression
