About me and my therapy practice

Welcome. My name is Rachael Lucas (née Williams) and I am a professionally qualified counsellor (accredited) and supervisor of both individuals and groups (Snr Accred). I am a member of  BACP and adhere to their professional guidelines, standards and Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I have been working in private practice as a counsellor since 1998 and as a supervisor since 2001.  My experience includes teaching and lecturing, delivering training course and workshops for both adults and children. I have been contracted-in to many organisations for both individual and group therapy, as well as individual and group supervision.

Practice description

I have been trained in various counselling and supervision theories & techniques, and work with individuals, couples, families and children.  At present, due to the emergence of Covid-19. I am working with clients via Skype, Zoom and telephone only, although this will be reviewed from time to time.

Qualifications include RSA Cert in Counselling (1998). Btec Professional Certificate in Counselling (1999). Btec Diploma in Counselling (2000), Diploma in Counsellor Supervision (2001) and Relate/UCL Foundation Certificate in Couple Counselling (2004). I also partake in regular professional training and workshops each year as part of my Continuing Professional Development. My qualifications/certificates, and proof of membership to the BACP are available upon request.

My first session

Our first session will be an assessment to see how we can work together, and to establish what you would like to achieve from the process.

I offer individual and group supervision services to other supervisors, counsellors, and students/trainees.
