About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and registered psychodynamic counsellor offering short term counselling and long term therapy to both adults, children and young people in Frome.
It can be a daunting prospect coming to a counselor for the first time and I offer a safe and confidential space in which you can explore the difficulties that you are having in your life.
I believe in helping my clients gain insight and understanding into their current situation, which may have roots in the past, to enable them to make changes and move on from a crisis. This may be in time limited work or more longer term therapy in which we can work together at a deeper level.
Children and young people:
I have over 20 years experience of working with children and young people in education and caring roles and I have a Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People. With children and young people I can work with play and creatively to help them explore the difficulties they are experiencing in life. I also offer parent support when working with children.
I am registered with the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapsists) and BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and adhere to their code of ethics.
