About me and my therapy practice
Nobody wants to go to therapy but you are exploring this site for a reason. It can take a lot of courage to ask for help. It's not uncommon to feel like we should be able to cope with whatever life throws at us. But when things get too much, personal therapy can provide the support you need. Whether you feel like you've been treading water for a while and realise that now is the right time to do something differently or whether you are struggling to keep you're head above the water and realise now is the time to reach for that buoyancy aid, asking for help is an act of courage and one that make all the difference.
My aim as a therapist is to create a safe space in which you feel able to explore the issues that made you reach out for help. My practice is integrative, so I draw on a range of counselling theories. I work one to one with adults via video, phone or email. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
Speaking about our difficulties can be a source of anxiety but it can also be a huge relief.
There is hope, things can change and counselling does help. Please reach out to me if you would like an informal chat to explore whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
