About me and my therapy practice
I would describe my work with patients as integrative, underpinned by the Humanistic, Person Centered theoretical orientation. I believe patients are the experts of themselves and my role is to provide a safe therapeutic environment where we can 'work together' in confidentiality.
Practice description
I conduct my sessions with patients remotely; using video calls (Zoom/Skype) audio calls (telephone) ; live messaging and therapeutic e-mails (T.E) I have undergone additional training to work in these remote ways which is CPCAB approved. Patients can expect our therapy sessions to show respect, transparency, honesty and adherence to professional ethics and boundaries where no judgement will be made.
My first session
The first therapy session will be an assessment. It is also a chance for patients to decide if they feel comfortable working with me. I also take this opportunity to assess that the therapy I am trained to deliver is appropriate to the patients needs and give the patient appropriate feedback.
