I work in Hadleigh from Tuesday - Thursday and offer appointments between 8am - 7pm.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer the opportunity to enter into a safe, supportive, confidential therapeutic relationship to explore your feelings, thoughts and beliefs about yourself, relationship with others and your life experiences. We often repeat patterns of behaviour we are not conscious of, and we have a tendency to avoid thinking about painful or traumatic experiences. Therapy is about exploring and confronting these feelings and patterns. I believe everyone has within them the capacity for change.
I have worked as a Chartered Physiotherapist for 28 years with a special interest in chronic and psychosomatic pain. My experiences lead me to further qualifications as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. I now draw on my extensive experience within the therapeutic field in understanding the physical and mental state of our health and sense of ourselves. I believe in the holistic approach in striving for harmony within our lives through the connection between mind and body. Therapy can help restore and promote a sense of internal balance.
Please see my website katekerrpsychotherapist.com for more information regarding the Covid-19 regulations and face to face therapy.
My therapy room is located at the East End of the Hadleigh High Street above 'Labels to love' opposite the Hadleigh Library. Parking is free and there is a car park within 5 minutes walk, or depending on availability immediately outside the front door.
The therapy room is comfortable and quiet, with a large window overlooking the high street on the 1st floor level.

My first session
I will first speak to you on the phone to discuss what brings you to seek therapy at this time and whether I can help you. We can then arrange an initial consultation lasting up to an hour and a half. This gives us time to explore together what you are hoping for through therapy, a brief personal history and whether time limited or open- ended Psychotherapy is suitable. We can find a mutually convenient weekly session time and agree a start date. The therapeutic relationship is most important, this initial consultation is your opportunity to decide whether you think we can work together. You will find more information and FAQ's on my website katekerrpsychotherapist.com
With the new Covid-19 regulations, I am offering online and telephone sessions. Please see my website, katekerrpsychotherapist.com for the latest guidelines regarding face to face therapy.
