About me and my therapy practice
I can support you with a wide range of issues, including symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues. I provide a safe, empathic and non-judgemental space to share your worries and fears in confidence. I will encourage you to express your thoughts, feelings and emotions about your situation, possible causes and the impact it is having on you. As we work together you will gain the opportunity to discover a better insight into yourself, your situation, any unhelpful patterns of behaviour, such as how you relate to others. I will help you to identify your own solutions to the situation. This may range from acceptance of yourself or your situation to achieving an outcome which provides a new found inner happiness.
I am warm, calm, compassionate and genuine with a sense of humour. I work confidentially and respectfully, always putting your needs first. I have experience in counselling for a wide range of mental health issues, I also have experience working with experiencers of domestic and sexual abuse.
Please take a look at my website for full details.
Before becoming a counsellor, I was an experienced leader and qualified as a member of the Chartered Management Institute. My field of expertise was learning and development where I facilitated the development of behavioural and leadership skills, specialising in coaching, at all levels. I am able to draw on this experience whilst supporting clients in counselling and coaching.
My passion has always been about people. I enjoy helping and empowering others to resolve inner conflict, find happiness and lead a fulfilling life. I will support you to achieve this for yourself.
I am a qualified humanistic gestalt counsellor and an experienced coach. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their professional code of ethics, ensuring your safety and wellbeing whilst working together.
I run my private practice from my home location SO18 3PS. The room is separate from the house and totally private. It has a separate entrance with its own WC.
There is ample parking and also accessible by public transport.
My first sessionI offer a free 20 minute, no obligation, consultation giving you the opportunity to meet me, ask any questions you may have and to see if the way I work feels comfortable for you. If you wish to continue, we will agree an initial number of sessions, weekly or fortnightly, based on your availability, which will be reviewed as we work together.
