During this difficult time, I'm working online using Zoom and on the phone, or I can offer walk and talk therapy outdoors. Talking helps - I would love to hear from you.
About me and my therapy practice
You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed or ‘stuck’ in some way in your life. Or you may have had difficult experiences in the past, such as loss, trauma or abuse. I will work with you to explore the areas of your life which are causing difficulty or sadness, and to find a way forward. I can help you better understand unhelpful thoughts, behaviours and unconscious patterns which may be causing distress, and support you to adjust them to bring about lasting change. I am a relational counsellor, and work to build a strong, trusting relationship. I work with adults and children/teenagers aged 12 and over.
I bring a lot of experience and sensitivity to my work, having worked with a wide range of issues. My integrative training encompassed developmental, psychodynamic, humanistic and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy approaches. This means that I can fit my counselling approach to your individual needs, and adjust as needed throughout our work together.
There are two main factors that predict success: you, and your relationship with your counsellor. It's really important that you find the right fit, so I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation for us to explore how we might work together and whether you feel we'd be a good fit. Please feel free to get in touch by phone or email to set this up.
