About me and my therapy practice
Often in life, we may find ourselves in situations that are difficult to manage. My aim is to support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings by providing a warm, safe, empathic and confidential space. A place where you will not be judged or told what to do.
I am interested in how behaviour we learned in childhood may often not work so well for us in adulthood. We may often seem to repeat 'the same old patterns' in life, such as in our relationships. I believe it is possible to explore and trace back to the time when those decisions were made and to implement new decisions and behaviours.
Practice description
My primary training has been in Transactional Analysis, which allows me to use an array of techniques and theories, incorporating CBT and Gestalt, as well as Psychodynamic and Person Centred approaches. I believe this allows for a more flexible way of working, ensuring the individuality of the client's needs are met.

I believe that the Supervision relationship needs to be one of openness, warmth, trust and genuineness. A space where the Supervisee feels safe to explore their client work and how this impacts on them as a Practitioner and human being.
I believe therapeutic change, fundamentally takes place through the therapeutic relationship, working relationally with Transference, Counter Transference and Projective Identification.
My aim is to support you with the following: -
- To gain insight into your work and your relationship with your clients
- To understand your clients by exploring reactions, responses and defences
- To help you think about the therapeutic interventions you make and why you make them
- To help you integrate theory into your practice based on your modality
- To enable you to feel competent and confident as a practitioner
I am qualified as a Transactional Analysis (TA) Counsellor/Psychotherapist and welcome Supervisees and Trainees from all modalities.
I offer Online and Telephone Supervision.
Please feel free to contact me to arrange an initial discussion, where we can explore your Supervisory needs.
I look forward to hearing from you.
