About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Brian. I'm an integrative therapist, meaning I individually tailor our work together to best fit your needs, and draw from several approaches to help you understand, explore, and make changes within yourself.
Whether you have a specific problem, just need someone to talk with, or anything in-between, I look forward to collaborating with you on a path toward growth.
Further, the therapeutic relationship takes precedence in my approach. How we work together is more important to me than any technique or theory I may employ.
My approach draws from a foundation of humanism, person-centred therapy and existentialism, emphasising your individual capacity for growth. Further, I incorporate elements of psychodynamic therapy and CBT to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, how your past is affecting the present, and to help take tangible steps toward change.
I also draw upon Taoism, and Stoicism to help foster equilibrium, embracing life as it comes, regulation, and resilience in the face of what you may bring to therapy.
My ultimate aim is to work with you as equals to create a space where we can explore your unique experience, gaining insights and acquiring new ways to make lasting changes.
