About me and my therapy practice
I am very passionate about helping individuals finding a way to cope with their struggles. Talking about what's happening in our lives, talking about how we feel can really help to process that we are going through. I am here to facilitate that.
I understand that it can be hard to express how you feel especially if you are experiencing something very difficult. I feel that my approach can really help you feel heard and understood. I will take your pace, I'll pay attention to what you might need on a particular session. I will offer you unconditional regard and acceptance for who you are, and help you understand why you feel the way you feel. At times I might challenge your thinking, but it will always be from an empathetic view. I believe that everyone has the ability to change. I offer a non-judgemental environment where you are free to discuss your issues and express your thoughts and feelings.
Practice descriptionMy modality is Humanistic Counselling Based on Transactional Analysis however I also offer CBT techniques that can help with every day challenges and thought patterns. I believe that it is important that people look in their past to understand what might be going on in their present life. What lead to those problems? What learnt patterns are they following? Understanding your past can offer a better knowledge of why you might experience difficulties in the present. With better knowledge can come compassion to self and others.
