About me and my therapy practice

I am offering online and/or phone sessions during social distancing periods.  Specialising in anxiety and stress reduction techniques.

Is your life or relationship causing you stress or anxiety? Feeling depressed or lost as to what to do? I have almost 20 years of counselling experience to offer you. I aim to be a warm real working partner as we find a way forward for you.

You're taking a really positive step by looking for help at this difficult time in your life.

I work from home in Burpham, in easy reach of central Guildford, Woking, Send, Merrow, Ripley, Worplesdon and Jacobs Well. There is convenient easy parking, and a bus stop right outside my house. Guildford Central, London Road and Clandon are the nearest train stations.

I offer a safe, confidential space in a private, dedicated office for you to talk freely. I hope to work alongside you, to help you find the new perspective or solution to your issue.

You're welcome to visit my website or make contact with any questions you have.

I really look forward to hearing from you.

Practice description

I am also a qualified clinical supervisor to other therapists. I believe in putting back a bit of what life takes out.

My work is Humanistic, specialising in relational work; trauma recovery work, addictions work.

My first session

• Your sessions will last for 60 mins

• Usually, we use your first session to:

o Unpack what’s brought you to this point, in more detail

o An opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about my work, my modality etc.

o Start to piece together what you’d like to get out of your counselling, but if that’s unclear for you at the moment, that’s ok.

o Most importantly, for you to decide if you’d like to continue working with me.

o For me to decide if I would be the right sort of counsellor for you. If not, I’m happy to help refer you onto someone who may be.

o If we are both happy to continue working, we can fill in some basic paperwork to get you onto my caseload.

o We can make some appointments in the diary.
