At present I am offering telephone counselling in order to comply with government recommendations and keep my clients and myself safe.
Please see my website www.jhardingcounselling.co.uk for up to date details of available appointments.
I work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I can usually offer an appointment within 5 working days or less.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and accredited counsellor with over fifteen years experience.
My specialist areas include: anxiety and panic; bereavement, grief and loss; health issues, (such as cancer, health anxiety and sight loss); relationship difficulties (I am a trained and experienced couples counsellor); stress; work-related issues, such as bullying, redundancy, or work-life balance
As your counsellor I will:
Give you time to talk and listen carefully to what you say
Offer my perspective
Provide a balance of support and constructive challenge
I focus more on the here and now than on the past.
I am interested in helping people to develop increased self-awareness, to recognise and let go of old patterns of behaviour, to deal with unfinished business and to move forward with their lives.
My first session
The first session provides an opportunity for you to decide whether you feel comfortable talking to me and also for me to consider whether counselling might be of help to you.
If I feel that counselling is not appropriate then I will tell you this at the first session and also try to direct you to alternative sources of help.
